Aloha!
My name is Taylor, I enjoy sunsets, long walks on the beach, and being sarcastic.
Okay, okay. Let's get serious. I am a 3rd year English major with a lot of experience in the difficulties of being a student.
Allow me to delve deep into my past for a split second (I promise there is a point to this).
I had a fairly normal childhood; I played outside everyday until the street lights came on, I was thrown into a gymnastics class against my will only to be kicked out a day later, and I spilled things on carpets that left permanent stains.
My somewhat recent past: I played competitive volleyball from the age of 9. It took up about 5 days of my week and I never had time to really socialize, go out, party, have a boyfriend, etc. When I graduated from high school, I went to the University of Tennessee at Martin on a full ride volleyball scholarship. I ended up struggling with the lifestyle of being a student-athlete and juggling the responsibilities, especially being so far from home (there was also a lot of politics involved in the volleyball program, but that is another story). I became really depressed and ended up coming home because I was very sick. No more volleyball, no more Tennessee. Just Stoney Creek and soon enough, Brock!
And here I am now.
I have experienced first hand a lot of problems the typical student will encounter in their life time. I have had some very high ups and some very low downs. But I'm not trying to be a tree-topper here. I just want you guys to know that even if this blog was created for a course requirement, I am still heavily invested in the subject.
Whoa, sorry for the diary entry. I got a bit carried away!
Anyways...Hopefully you'll like what I post on here!
